At CR Competence (CR), milestones and achievements of the clients are cause for great celebration. Recently it was announced by SoftOx Solutions A/S (SoftOx) that the first patient with chronic airway infection was dosed in their Phase 2a study. SoftOx and CR have worked together from the very beginning. CR has contributed to the development of formulations and methods, providing regulatory justifications and decision fundaments based on good data and thorough understanding of chemistry. In one important stage of the development, the MVIC member company Emmace and their device evaluation was key to the progression, with strong analytical support from CR. Elin Jörgensen (to the left in the image), Clinical Project Lead at SoftOx contributed as invited lecturer to the MVIC Symposium 2023. Thus, CR invites MVIC community as a whole to celebrate with SoftOx!

Dosing the first patient in the SIS-03 proof-of-concept phase is a very important moment for SoftOx. For the first time, we are evaluating SIS directly in patients suffering from chronic airway infections — a population where existing therapies often fall short due to antimicrobial resistance. We look forward to generating clinical data that will help us understand the potential of SIS in this setting.
