One of MVIC’s member companies, Emmace, has announced strategic leadership transitions aimed at strengthening the competitive edge and fuelling continued growth.
Dr. Anna Holmberg, who has served as Chair of the Board at Emmace for over a decade, took on the position as CEO on the 1st of May. Dr. Holmberg brings an impressive expertise in pharmaceutical and medical device development. Her previous roles include serving as CEO of a Contract Research Organization (CRO) developing pharmaceutical products and CEO of a medical device company having its own products on the market. Most recently, Dr. Holmberg has worked as a MedTech Advisor through her independent consulting firm.
Reflecting on her new role, Dr. Holmberg stated, “Having closely followed Emmace’s journey through my board membership, I believe this transition is the right move for Emmace. It will strengthen the company and our ability to deliver valuable services to our customers.”
Dr. Mårten Svensson, the previous CEO and founder of Emmace, has transitioned to the role of Head of Business Development. In addition to driving business growth, Dr. Svensson will actively contribute to the company’s innovation and technology development—an area close to his heart.
Giving his view on the transition, Mårten Svensson commented, “With this expansion of leadership capacity, we are well-positioned to continue Emmace’s remarkable growth trajectory.” He added, “To our 100+ clients, rest assured that it’s business as usual. Existing commitments and contracts remain unchanged.”
