MVIC is expanding and strengthening its position and has hired Mats Håkansson as the new CEO. Mats brings more than 30 years of experience in the medical field and will focus on business development leveraging the vast scientific knowledge and state of the art technology available at MVIC. Lars Asking will continue to lead projects utilizing his long experience in the field of inhaled drug delivery. Together, Mats and Lars will further develop MVIC and its business offerings.
Mats has been a passionate entrepreneur for over 30 years in the life science industry. With a background from large blue-chip companies such as Unilever, Pharmacia and Novo Nordisk and with small startup companies such as Niconovum, and Viropharma, he brings a broad range of experiences within product development, project management, international marketing and business development. He enjoys thinking outside the box and creative problem solving. Outside of work he likes going to the gym, golf, meditation and spending time with his family and friends.
