MVIC performs preclinical testing of inhaled drugs, including PK and PD studies, on regular basis together with the member company Truly Labs. For lung delivery we offer whole body, intratracheal instillation or nose-only administration in Battelle towers with wet or dry formulations. For nasal delivery, we offer drug administration via nasal instillation or nasal spraying for wet formulations.
Now, we have developed a method to offer nasal delivery also for dry powder formulations. With this method we can aerosolise dry powders with a very small puff of air (about 200 microliters). The setup maximises drug deposition in the nasal cavity and minimise lung deposition. This opens new opportunities for clients in the pre-clinical development phase.
