MVIC offers pre-clinical inhalation services through its member company Truly Labs. We are currently performing many pre-clinical studies which of course is very encouraging. We can deliver the API both via wet and dry aerosol delivery. For dry delivery, we can do micronisation and mixing with lactose. We can also optimize carrier formulations including the use of a ternary agent, e.g. magnesium stearate. For delivery in the preclinical setting, we are typically using a Wright Dust Feeder (WDF) and a Battelle tower. We can control on the delivery including flows, filters, in-line monitoring and impactor measurements to determine aerodynamic particle size.
